The Production Of Animal Products For Human Consumption

The production of animal products for human consumption contributes over 14.5 towards global greenhouse gas emissions, and is one of the biggest factors of climate change . Most consumers of meat and dairy are uninformed of this fact, as they believe that transportation and the burning of fossil fuels are the leading contributors towards global warming, and not the production of foods that they consume on a daily basis and in large quantities. However, the consumers are not the only ones to blame; in America, large meat and dairy corporations as well as the government are two forces that heavily advertise and influence the consumption of animal products. In fact, companies such as Tyson Foods have successfully lobbied for the Agriculture†¦show more content†¦To change their diets of meat and dairy, people have to understand and adopt growth mindsets. When people have a growth mindset, they believe that intelligence and talent are developed rather than fixed . People who have growth mindsets are more open towards challenges, and make efforts to learn. The same can be applied to changing one’s diet to consume less meat and dairy. At the same people, people who are less likely to change their diets, 62% of Americans , can learn to adopt a growth mindset, through understanding oneself, learning from experiences, and seeing things from different perspectives and challenging oneself to take action . After adopting a growth mindset, people can use positive psychology techniques to challenge themselves to consume less animal products. For people to understand the reason why they need to consume less meat and dairy products, they have to apply the concept of PERMA, the model of well-being. They need to identify that their well-being is greater when eating less animal products and explain it using a spects of PERMA. For example, consumers who have made an active change in their lives to change their diets can explain their reasoning with experiencing more â€Å"Positive Emotion† – they receive

To adjust the level of the water in the tube. move the side bucket up and down in the vertical irection. Use five different tuning forks and the appropriate head of the mallet. Strike the tuning fork with the appropriate mallet above the open end of the tube and slowly start lowering the side bucket so the water level goes down until you hear an Increase In sound which Is called resonance. Record the location where the resonance occurred and record the height. After you get the first resonance, repeat by lowering the water further down the tube until you get a total of two resonance recordings. Repeat the experiment with a different tuning fork and record the ppropriate data. Each fork was struck above the water level and the water level was slowly moved down until a resonance was heard. The distance where the resonance occurs were recorded and the speed of the waves were determined. The experimental speed of sound was then compared to the calculated theoretical speed of sound. The results obtained were very close to the theoretical speed of sound thus proving that they were precise. Ill. Research Design free essay sample

Chapter Ill Research Design and Methodology Research Methodology This chapter deals with the method and procedure utilized by the researcher to enable the readers to find out how the study was conducted and on how the conclusions have been drawn. It includes the research design, research population, research instrumentation and sampling technique, data gathering procedure, research locale and statistical treatment used. Research Design The method of the study that would be used is the descriptive research that is fact finding with adequate interpretation. According to Fox (2002), the purpose of this type of research is to describe objectively the nature of the situation under study. Descriptive design if valuable in producing facts, relieving condition and information, relationship that exist and trends that are developing. Research Locale This study will be conducted among the selected residents of Barangay Poblacion which is located at Candelaria Quezon province this Barangay was divided into four areas: Purok 1, Purok 2, Purok 3, and Purok 4. We will write a custom essay sample on Research Design or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Research Population The researchers use availability technique which they gathered 100 respondents n ll four areas, with no specific age bracket whom are residents of Barangay Poblacion, Candelaria, Quezon who implement the waste management and disposal program. Research Instrumentation and Sampling Technique The instrument used in this study gathered data thru questionnaire checklist written in Tagalog because the respondents were living in the community which we do not know yet their Educational Attainment. The instrument was authenticated by presenting a pilot study to ten (10) respondents who are not included in the actual study, and final revision was made at the same time. Before the final distribution of the instrument was done we obtained letter to the barangay officials concerned. The instrument was divided into five parts; the first part was the demographic profile of selected residents of Barangay Poblacion Candelaria, Quezon. The second part was consisted of their Level of awareness, followed by their Level of practices then, their ways of waste disposing. Lastly, the fifth part was regarding waste related health problems. Data Gathering Procedure The researcher will make used of questionnaires as their instrument using ernacular language for easy understanding and considering the level of education of the respondents in order to gather data for the problem to determine the implementation of the program and how the residents comply with the program in selected areas of Barangay Poblacion Candelaria, Quezon. Questionnaire checklists personally distributed to the respondents all questionnaires were completely returaned with their answers.
